Summer

Since I posted a photo earlier of the front garden earlier, I thought it might be nice to show how the flowers have grown. It's hard to believe that in a month or so, it will frost and be time to pull out the flowers!

Liam is very exited, but not really into helping with the work. Removing the old mat and adding the new one takes lots of arm strength. Rick and Jordan are kind enough to pitch in, while Liam has more important duties to address...

Spring Deluge

So much for working in the yard today! A long, heavy rain is upon us! On the bright side, everything is nice and green.

Practically Perfect

We finally have some nice weather. Sunny with a few puffy clouds - practically perfect. I spent a few minutes of my last day of vacation (not counting the weekend) on the swing, knitting my sock, listening to the birds and Hawaiian music (from inside the house) and wishing I had a few more weeks of vacation! This is the view from the swing. The photo doesn't show it, but you can see the yellow wildflowers on the mountain.
